Week 10 marked the end of our 1st Quarter! Keep an eye out for report cards coming home next week. Boys basketball has officially kicked off, and our Fall Cultural Experience was a huge hit with students!
A special thank-you to the Wisconsin Dells Singers and Dance Troupe for visiting Woods School! Our students had the wonderful opportunity to learn about Ho-Chunk Nation culture through traditional singing, dancing, and drumming. They even got to sample maple syrup candy! WPTG loves bringing these kinds of memorable learning experiences to our children, and we are so grateful for their efforts in making it happen! ❤️

🎶 Seussical Jr. – Last Weekend to Catch the Show!
Don't miss your chance to see some of our talented Woods students perform in Seussical Jr.! Shows run through November 8. Please see the attached flyer for performance details. There are two different casts, so be sure to check the cast information when choosing which show to attend!

🇺🇸 Veterans Day Celebration – November 11
Please mark your calendars! Our Veterans Day Celebration will take place on Wednesday, November 11, at 2:30 PM. We look forward to honoring the brave men and women who have served our country.
📸 Picture Retake Day – Monday, November 9
Picture Retake Day is coming up this Monday! If you would like your child to have their photo retaken but have already purchased a picture package, simply send the original package back to school with your child on Monday to give to the photographer.
🦃 Annual Pilgrim Feast – November 19
We are busy preparing for our annual Pilgrim Feast! Each classroom has been assigned an item to contribute. Please review your child's grade-level assignment below and be sure to send in the requested item.

3rd Grade: 3 cans corn (15.25 oz, not creamed)
2nd Grade: 2 bags Sage & Onion Stuffing (14 oz)

🍎 Teacher Conference Lunch – November 12
A big thank-you to everyone who has signed up to contribute to our Teacher Conference Lunch! Please have all items delivered to the front office by 10:30 AM on November 12. Disposable containers and serving utensils are greatly appreciated.

WPTG is excited to offer the Safe Sitter Babysitting Course right here at Woods for our middle school students!

🌎 Did you know? The Maya were one of the most fascinating ancient civilizations of Mesoamerica, and their sacred world was full of mysteries. They believed cenotes were gateways to the underworld and supernatural world. Even after more than 1,000 years, Maya culture is still alive today!
That's one deep subject… literally! 😂
