Back to School Edition 🎉
Hello Woods Families,
It was great seeing everyone at Back-to-School Night! There are so many people to thank for helping make the evening such a success.
A huge thank-you to WPTG for their amazing photo-op station, our Wildcat Mascot, and Mr. Kase and Mr. Hoselton for grilling all those hot dogs! 🌭
Thank you to Mrs. Schwartzhoff, Ms. Richardson, Ms. Diaz, and Mrs. Lauzon for making sure everyone who wanted dinner received one. And, of course, thank you to all of our teachers and volunteers who helped guide, meet, and welcome our families and students.
We are so excited to officially begin another wonderful year at Woods! 💙
📚 Here Are a Few Important Things to Know
🏫 First Day of School – September 1st!
Tuesday, September 1st is our first day of school!
🚪 Doors open: 8:10 am
📚 Classes begin: 8:20 am
🏡 4K–5th Grade dismissal: 3:20 pm
🏡 Middle School dismissal: 3:30 pm

Please remember that our pickup line can appear long, especially during the first few days. The first days can be a little bumpy, so please be patient and work together!
For everyone's safety, students must remain inside the vehicle at all times. Please do not allow students to hang out of windows or run around in the car line.
📱 Personal Technology Update
As a part of state requirements under 2025 Wisconsin Act 42, Woods School has established an updated policy regarding personal technology.
To maximize student engagement and minimize distractions, students will not have access to personal communication devices during instructional time. This zero-access rule applies to:
📱 Cell phones
⌚ Smartwatches
🥽 Meta/smart glasses
📱 Tablets and similar technology
Devices must be turned off or silenced and stored away during class.
Exceptions outlined in state law, such as medical needs or documented IEP accommodations, will be strictly accommodated.
If an urgent situation arises, please call the main office so we can get a message to your child right away.

🍎 Hot Lunch & Snack Milk
Hot lunch this year will be $3.97 and snack milk will be $0.40.

⏰ After School Daycare
After School Daycare begins Tuesday, September 1st!
🕞 3:30–5:30 pm
💲 $6/hour per child
All participants must complete an agreement form annually. If you haven't already done so, please stop by the school office to complete one.
📓 Middle School Assignment Notebooks
Middle School families, please remember to purchase your student's assignment notebook through Pushcoin.
💲 Cost: $5 each
🏐 Middle School Sports
5th–8th graders had the opportunity to sign up for sports during Hot Dog Night.
If your student missed the opportunity but would still like to participate, please notify the school office.

Need to report that your student will be absent?
You can report an absence online through the Woods website under “Report an Absence.”

🏊 Back-to-School Pool Party
The WPTG is kicking off the school year with some summer fun!

💲 FREE for all Woods families
Come swim, relax, and enjoy some time together before the school year gets into full swing! Families are welcome to stay all day.

Run Club is back! Watch your child's folder for the sign-up sheet.
Run Club will meet Mondays and Thursdays after school from September 3rd–28th, until 4:30 pm.
