Hello Woods Families,
Week 13 was a short one, with temperatures dropping and everyone gearing up for the long weekend ahead! ❄️🍁
🎁 Giving Tree Information
Our Annual Giving Tree is up in the vestibule outside the main office. This tree supports children in our community who are in need this season.
If you’d like to participate:
Remove a star from the tree and bring it to the office.
Please provide the number on the star along with a phone number.
Gifts should be wrapped, with the star attached on top (number facing up).
All gifts are due by December 15th.
Thank you for helping us spread kindness this holiday season! ❤️
🎄 Christmas Parade & Caroling – Middle School
We’re looking for middle school students to walk in the Lake Geneva Christmas Parade and sing carols!
Sign-up is due NO LATER than December 1, 2025.
Permission slips were emailed home and a hard copy was sent with your child.
If you expressed interest in helping with the float assembly, an email went out yesterday—please check your inbox!
❄️ Winter Weather Reminder
Winter is on its way! Unless it’s raining or below zero, students will continue to play outside.
Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for cold weather.
If your family is in need of winter gear, please email Mrs. Hoselton—we are here to help. ❤️
Has your child outgrown their winter gear?
Please consider donating gently used items to the school. Our teachers love keeping “extras” on hand when available. Donations can be dropped off at the front office.
🎨 Craft Fair – Donations Needed
The Annual Craft Fair is right around the corner, and our 8th graders are looking for a few donations:
🍪 Baked Goods – Do you bake? They’d love your favorite dessert for their bake sale!
🎁 Mystery Box Items – Fun little surprises are welcome!
Thank you for supporting our students!
🔭 Looking Ahead
December 6: Woods School Craft Fair (9am–3pm)
December 6: Lake Geneva Electric Christmas Parade (5pm)
December 11: 4K–8th Christmas Concert (6pm)
🌟 Student Spotlight
Each week we will share one joke, fun fact, or a drawing from our Woods students. Keep an eye out to see if your student is featured!
This week’s submission comes from Miles in 6th grade:
Fun Fact: The Eiffel Tower can be 15cm taller in the summer (because it’s made of iron).
Impressive. The only thing that grows 15cm at my house is the laundry pile. 🧺😄
🦃 Thanksgiving Break Reminder
School will be closed Wednesday, November 26th through Friday, November 28th.
We return to school Monday, December 1st.
We are truly grateful for our Woods community and hope you enjoy this extended break! 🤎
Together in Education,
The Woods Staff
