BACK TO SCHOOL

Hello Wildcats!

The first week of the 25/26 school year is in the books! What a great week we have had. The pick up/drop off line is moving nicely. Please note that if you are first in line and the flags are up, feel free to take them down, no earlier than 8am for morning drop-off or 3:10pm for afternoon pick up. Please remember to exit/enter vehicles on the passenger side during arrival and dismissal. Safety first Wildcats!

Here are a few important things to know:

  1. Fall sports are upon us! Schedules and all games for volleyball, soccer, and cross country meets have been posted on the calendar on our website. Simply navigate to our home page under the Explore tab and click on Calendar.

  2. Next week, students in 3rd-8th grade will be taking our Fall Benchmark Tests in Reading and Math through our iReady testing systems. These tests help guide the individualized learning for each student, so best effort and a good night's rest always makes a big difference.

  3. There will be NO After School Daycare on September 16th, 23rd and 30th.

  4. Need to report a student absent? You are able to do this online at https://www.woodsschool.com/ under 'Report an Absence'. You can also call the front office at 262-248-3816.

  5. On September 10th, our 5th-8th graders will attend an assembly and listen to a speaker regarding bullying. All families were sent an email and a flyer. Please make sure that you read though these and reach out to Mrs. Davies with any questions or concerns.

  6. WPTG Spotlight: Running Club's first practice was yesterday and it was a huge success! It is not too late to join; this is for grades 1st-8th and takes place Tu/Thur after school until 4:30, through 9/30. All participants need a signed permission slip. Parent help is welcomed and encouraged! Stay up to date on all the exciting things Woods Parent Teacher Group is doing by following them on Facebook and Instagram!

  7. Please see the attached flyer and save the date for our Annual Christmas in the Woods Craft Fair!

  8. Also, attached is information on Free Parent Workshops hosted by Reek Elementary at the Walworth Memorial Library

  9. Looking ahead:

    1. September 10th - WPTG Meeting at 6:30pm in the library. All are welcome and encouraged to come.

    2. September 17th - School Board Meeting at 4pm in the library. All are welcome and encouraged to come.

    3. September 29th - Picture Day - look for forms to come home next week.

Have a great weekend and we can't wait to see you all back here on Monday!
