Hello Woods Families!

This week our middle school students worked on their final benchmark tests of the year. Benchmark testing is done at least three times per year and helps our students and staff track their growth over the year. This data can be used to make plans for students to extend, intervene, and set goals for growth. 

  1. The 24-25 Yearbook deadline to purchase through Lifetouch has passed, but we do have extra copies available in the front office on a first come basis. They are $13 each and can be purchased with cash or a check made payable to Woods School. 

  2. Our 8th Grade Graduation will be held on Monday, June 2nd at 6:00pm. As part of band requirements, 6th and 7th grade band students need to be present to perform “Pomp and Circumstance” at the beginning of the ceremony. If your middle school student is unable to attend, it is imperative that Mr. Gates is notified.

  3. Our Annual Rocket Day is fast approaching on May 29th. We still have a few rockets available if you are in need. Simply return the flyer with payment or pay via Pushcoin and we will send the kit home with your child. 

  4. Looking ahead: 

    1. May 22nd - 4k-8th Art Show featuring mini golf 5:30-7:30pm

    2. May 25th - No School (Memorial Day)

    3. There will be NO After School Daycare Thursday, May 22 and Friday, May 23rd. 

    4. Last day of After Care for the 24/25 School Year will be Friday, May 30th

    5. June 2nd - 8th grade graduation at 6pm

    6. June 3rd - Field Day (more information to come soon)

    7. June 4th - School’s out for summer! Early release at 11:20a

  5. Attached, please find a photo of our Lost and Found. If you recognize any items as your child’s please claim it by the end of the year. Items left after the last day of school will be donated. 

  6. We continue to countdown the final weeks of the 24/25 school year. Our next graduate is Wyatt, please see the attached document for his accomplishments, interests, and memories of Woods! These spotlights are also posted Sundays on our Facebook page, along with other information, please be sure to give us a follow!
