No. The money used for a building referendum is different from an operational referendum. Geneva Joint 4-Woods School has worked diligently to pay down the school expansion debt and is on track to pay off the building referendum early.

The reason an operational referendum is necessary is because state-imposed revenue limits have not kept up with inflation or the needs of our students. To meet our operational requirement,  a non-recurring referendum is needed to close the fiscal gap.
