Math Class Guidelines

Homework:  Students are assigned homework on a daily basis. Three late assignments automatically results in a detention that may be served before or after school. I will be available at 8–8:30 am Monday through Friday and on Wednesday after school Homework Club to help with assignments.

homework_math.jpg Grade:  Students are graded on their daily assignments, quizzes and tests. The daily average is figured by averaging their daily work; extra credit is available. Quizzes and Chapter Tests make up the test average. The final grade is an average of the two. Students receive progress reports mid-quarter if they are in danger of failing. The Grading Scale is on my front table and the wall.

Schedules: Students have math in the morning everyday. Eighth grade students have a math workshop everyday from 11:10 until lunch. If necessary, students may work on assignments during recess in my room if I am available to supervise.

Website:  Assignments are posted on the Woods School website daily.

Behavior: All students are required to follow the Student Code of Conduct that can be found in the Handbook and the Classroom Guidlines posted on the wall and on the website
