May 17th will be a day to remember for the 2nd and 3rd Grades. We will be on a tour of two amazing resources that are very close by. At 8:45 a.m., we will be departing from Woods and heading to the Kenosha Dinosaur Discovery Museum. There, we will be taking a tour of their wonderful dinosaur exhibit and doing some "hands-on" activities that are guided by one of their resident paleontologists. At 11:00, the bus will be leaving Kenosha and going to Richard Bong State Park! The park is located in Kansasville (just outside of Burlington) and is a wonderful resource for classes to learn about the many trees and animals that are in our backyards. We will have a picnic lunch, at the the pavilion, and any additional time will be playtime at the park. At 11:45, the classes will meet with the naturalist and have a guided tour or scavenger hunt in the fields of the state park. We will be leaving the park at 2:00 to return to school.
