Meet the Teacher
Philosophy of Education:
I wish to reach out to every student through being a positive role model. Education should be a very rewarding experience for the students, teachers, and parents. I believe that education is the expansion of their previously learned knowledge and through the use of various learning styles, I hope to continue the never ending process. I desire to have my classroom be considered a positive and enjoyable atmosphere which is conducive to the furthering of the learning process.

What parents can expect this year in class:
Your student will be building positive relationships with their peers through the use of friendship and cooperation. Reading meaningful stories of friendship and sharing good characteristics with others that are key stepping stones to making good choices will be a focus throughout our school year.
Reading is fundamental to all areas of our lives and I am thrilled to help teach your student additional stepping stones in this process. We do a variety of activities while reading stories from our text, novels, and short stories for literature circles.
The basics of Math are further developed and done so in a very creative way! Math time is tons of fun and the students learn thing such as, double digit addition, subtraction, telling time, counting money, along with estimation and geometric figures.
Science and Social Studies bring an interesting focus to our studies throughout the year. Plants, animals, weather, physical sciences, and dinosaurs are major units in Science. At the same time, we investigate our country, laws, heritage, and citizenship within the Social Studies curriculum.
