The primary years for children are distinctly significant in that they establish the groundwork for their future. My goal has continually been to teach with enthusiasm and creativity to make learning desirable and applicable in life. I strive to encourage children to develop their abilities to their highest possible levels. I also believe that fourth grade students need to develop a certain degree of organizational skills (good work habits/accountability) at this age. Woven throughout is the ongoing discovery of the social and emotional component of each student, and I feel that an important role of the teacher is to find methods to enhance student confidence. Reaching these objectives continues to be my goal as I see their benefits on a daily basis.

Kids should realize that knowledge should be useful and practicable for them. An understanding of History should begin with Geography, a practical endeavor. Then, knowing the stage that History is played out on, students learn the thousands of human stories that became our culture.

I wish to reach out to every student through being a positive role model. Education should be a very rewarding experience for the students, teachers, and parents. I believe that education is the expansion of their previously learned knowledge and through the use of various learning styles, I hope to continue the never ending process. I desire to have my classroom be considered as a positive and enjoyable atmosphere which is conducive to the furthering of the learning process.
